About Isabelle

I created Inside Saint Lucia for women who are ready to travel differently.

Softer. Slower. Braver. Closer to real life.

Where I come from

Travel has been my life for more than two decades.

I am from Quebec, Canada, but I have spent most of my adult life outside of where I started.

For more than 24 years, I lived as an expat, including over 20 years in South America and Costa Rica. Travel was never just a vacation for me. It became the way I learned, healed, worked, connected, and understood people.

I owned bed and breakfasts and hotels. I created humanitarian travel experiences. I also ran a nonprofit organization for 17 years. My life has always been about discovering places, but even more than that, discovering people.

Why Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia was a dream I carried for almost 20 years.

I remember seeing photos of the island and thinking it looked impossibly beautiful, but also impossible for someone like me.

Back then, Saint Lucia felt like a place only celebrities and very wealthy people could reach. Then one day, Saint Lucia came back onto my map. I decided to try.

I flew there alone, not knowing exactly what I would find. At first, I remember feeling new, alone, and unsure of where I was going. But then something happened.

The smiles of the people. The butterflies. The waterfalls. The wind. It woke me up.

Saint Lucia made me feel like myself again. That is why I created Inside Saint Lucia.

For solo women

I know what it means to arrive somewhere alone.

I care deeply about solo women travelers because I have been one all my life.

I know how many women want to travel but stop themselves because they feel incapable, afraid, or unsure. But women are capable of so many things. We give birth. We give the world. We carry families, businesses, grief, dreams, and new beginnings.

Sometimes our mind forgets what our life has already proven. I want to help women remember.

Saint Lucia has a feminine energy to me. It brings peace. It gives you space to breathe and to trust yourself again.
What I want you to feel

Open, understood, and not alone.

When women travel with me, I want them to feel that I am just a human being like them. Someone who understands insecurity, fear, starting again, and wanting more from life.

They can put their insecurity on my shoulder for a while. I understand.

Real travel

Not only perfect views, but people, villages, food, stories, and moments that stay with you.

Freedom with support

You are still traveling freely, but with someone who knows the island and can help you move with confidence.

Travel that gives back

The community is not decoration for the experience. It is the foundation.

Giving back

Jamil's story is part of why this matters.

Before I even met him, people spoke about him with respect. His reputation, his courage, and the way people described him touched me. Helping him, and helping his daughter, feels like the kind of travel I believe in.

Travel should not only take from a place. It should give something back.

Travel with me

If Saint Lucia is calling you, we can start with one honest conversation.

You do not have to figure it all out alone.
